Jesus is the head of the church (Colossians 1:18) and with leadership in a local church, there are various roles that people hold while serving under Jesus.
We see the local church as a gathering of people on mission together, so the primary purpose of our church’s staff is to “Equip God’s people for the works of Christian service” (Ephesians 4:11-12). Our joy is seeing people join together with their own unique gifts and passion as they serve with various ministries. That’s why we see “staff” as not only those with office hours and formal pastoral roles, but also as all of those who volunteer and serve on mission in various leadership roles.
